You are cordially invited to attend the Federated Democratic Women of Portage County for their Annual Jefferson-Jackson Dinner, which celebrates our Party's history and points toward a more progressive future.
This year's keynote speaker will be Rob Richardson, Jr., a Cincinnati attorney and candidate for Ohio Treasurer of State. Mr.
Specializing in securities litigation, Rob has made his livelihood safeguarding billion-dollar pension funds, protecting taxpayer assets, and preventing consumer fraud. He knows from study and experience that special interests take advantage of working people if given the chance, and that government can and should do more to prevent this from happening.
Richardson received his Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Cincinnati in 2002, and his Juris Doctor from the same university in 2005.
While a student at UC, he established the first college chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) in the tristate region, and was elected Student Body President in the spring of 2001. During his senior year in 2002, Richardson was awarded its highest honor for undergraduates - the UC Presidential Leadership Medal of Excellence. He was elected Chair of the University of Cincinnati Board of Trustees in 2016, and at 37, became the youngest person to ever serve in that role. He ran for Mayor of Cincinnati earlier this year, before turning his eyes to statewide office.
